| I had the weirdest dream last night... no, it wasn't one of those dreams that just make absolutely no sense. I woke up feeling rather sick actually, definately not a dream I ever want to have ever again.
My mom, my youngest sister and I were somewhere, I don't know where, but for some reason we were climbing up this like.... almost like bleachers except it reminded me more of scaffolding... anyway, my sister had just been about to climb over the railing when she fell like fifty feet.
My mom starts freaking out and all I can think is 'oh my god she's dead' and that might explain the sick feeling when I woke up. Anyway, I like swing down the scaffolding thing to get to her and all I can do is beg her to breath.
Strangly enough she does, but at this point I'm like crying my eyes out. She was alive, I don't know how but she was. It was just a grotesque image that I don't ever want to be confronted with again.
That was one of many strange dreams... none of the others were quite so ... blah, but weird still.
Happier note! I luff my kitties!!

| Well, it would appear that I missed a family memo. A rather BIG one if you ask me! I have just taken to e-mailing some of my family members because it's easier then trying to catch them on the phone, time difference and all that jazz.
I was debating with my uncle about Harry Potter and the subject of a wedding came up. Not that this has anything to do with Harry Potter, but hey, that's life right?
Well, he asked me if I was going. Well, the last I heard about any wedding was my cousin Gary's. Well, I can't say I'm too fond of my cousin, and I didn't have the cash so no, I wasn't going. Well, my uncle responds with 'Why not? Your Nana is planning on moving the wedding to May."
Um, obvious flag jumped and went 'Uh, why would she be moving Gary's wedding?"
It hit me like a wet tuna fish on a sunday morning and so I called my mother.
"Mom, I have a question."
"Yeah?"
"Uh, who's getting married?"
"Oh, your grandmother's engaged."
"Thanks for tellin me, how long have you known?"
"A month."
Well, one week ago was Thanksgiving and I had called her then, did she tell me? Nope. Sometimes I really do wonder.
Not even my loud mouth sister said anything, which is astonashing.
Anyway, my parents are coming to visit the weekend before Christmas, after which they shall be leaving on their cruise, woohoo lucky them. Wish I could go, but alas work. They did give me $500 for christmas though, it's already been put to rent and groceries.. I did get to by War of the Worlds!!
Oh! and because I haven't done my movie Reviews in so long, I shall do a few now!!
Over the weekened we rented a few movies: Darkness, Fifty First Dates, Bewitched and Sahara, all of them wonderfully fun movies in my opinion. Except for Darkness which was kind of wierd.
Darkness is one of those thriller, what's going on movies that you don't really understand until the end. While several things are left unexplained, the movie is over all a good one and if you like the creepy, kinda messed up movies then you may enjoy this. It's not overly scary, doesn't have many jump-in-your-seat scene if at all (which I found rather refreshing) and the plot line is very interesting. -B+
Fifty First Dates is a rather old one, extremely humorous and well, Sean Astin with a lisp is all I have to say. - B+
Bewitched was a surprisingly cute and very good movie. A wonderful preformance from Nicole Kidmand Will Ferrall. I was a little worried because I thought it was going to try and do a remake of the original tv series. It was sorta like that but not. Basically it's a movie about them trying to redo the original tv show and actually casting a real witch in the role of Samantha. Again, cute and humorous and lots of fun to watch. - A
Lastly, Sahara, an action packed movie that I can watch over and over. It helps that Matt is just so damn cute!! People probably griped about this movie, but if you're looking for just some fun action this is the move for you! - A-
Ohh yes, and for those of you who are currently residing in Nac, be prepared for 'wintery percipitation' wednesday and thursday!!! | It seems we're having trouble escaping devestating disasters wherever we turn, tsunamis in the Orient, quakes in California, hurricanes in the southern United States, and it certainly doesn't look like it will be letting up any time soon.
Hurricane Rita has been predicted to hit Galveston and some parts of La, a state still recovering after the scourge of Hurricane Katrina. If it remains at a catagory 5 it will be the first time that a cat. 4 and cat. 5 hurricane have ever hit the United States during one season.
Some will complain that people are overreacting, but I believe it's better to be overprepared then underprepared. This isn't like Y2K, this is real and there are places that are going to be devestated. Reports say half of Galveston is going to be destoryed, Galveston which only recently recovered from the effects of Hurricane Allison four years ago.
I could ramble and go on, and a lot of people don't believe it's going to be that bad. No one can forsee how something is going to turn out, I'm pretty damn sure no one thought that New Orleans was going to be almost destroyed. Thousands upon thousands of people were effected and thousands more are going to be effected by the oncoming storm. Some people try to say it's only a little rain, just some wind, just a storm... say that to the hundreds of people who are going to lose their homes, hundreds of people who will lose their lives or their families.
Galveston, Corpus Christi, Nueces County, low-lying parts of Houston and New Orleans have been issued a mandatory evacuation.
I have family that lives all over Houston, my parents have decided to stay though thankfully they brought my sister's to stay with our Uncle Pete and they'll be okay. I know there isn't anything I can do, but I'm still worried and ask that you keep them and everyone else in your thoughts and prayers.
Even if you think it's 'just a storm' keep in mind that the death toll for Katrina has reached over 1000 in five coastal states. Stay aware and be safe.

| So, last weekend was lots of fun, I got to sew twenty feet of fabric for tables clothes... gah, hems are easy... but evil!! I have also come to the conclusion that I need to STOP TALKING. Every time I did.. I got volunteered to do something else... for example.. I'm in charge of childrens activities are our upcoming event... and now I'm deputy treasurer (treasurer in training) for our local shire... I was somehow roped into being Autocrat for the next BoP (Battle of the Pines) event... and then I mentioned having a masquerade for Yule and they tried to get me to plan that one too!! -ahem- :D No worries, I enjoy doing it all and it's lots of fun. I bet some of you are really confused, lemmie explain. I'm in this group called the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronisms) we basically do medieval reanactment. We swordfight, we do arts and sciences (constructing armor, garb, weaving, cooking.. whatever) equestrian (Horses), archery and so much more! Lots and lots of fun stuff there... (www.sca.org) for anyone who is interested that is. Anyway.. yes.. I am a dork -nod- so.. yeah Battle of the Pines is an annual event and.. I've gotten sucked into it.. no worries, much fun :D
So I'm gonna be getting a new kitten soon, she's going to be all gray and black and hopefully stripey, not sure yet how much the color has come out.. I haven't seen the kittens in six weeks. I'm going to name her Rivka, because it's exotic and ... all kitties need exotic names! Indigo (parakeet) and Luna (cat) are just going to love her.. hehe... not really I don't think.. but they'll get over it real quick.

| So I won't be here this weekend, well, at least not until sunday evening at some point (3 or 4ish central time) but I will say that I will miss all my adoring fans- er, friends... greatly! Well, at least those friends who won't be with me (like Mara and Brittony .. I won't miss you guys geesh). Doing more SCA related stuff, gotta paint signs and site tokens and I will no doubt be put to work at the sewing machine.. slaving away for all eternity... wasting away until I am nothing but duuuuust in the wiiind. Okay.. I'm totally.. absolutely.. sane, I swear.
